I think I read somewhere that only 4 of the England squad have ever taken a penalty in a competitive match !!
Mmmm even more reason...!!!

I was cheering on both losing teams yesterday (well you have to choose which team to back on the day)

Maybe I should be cheering on England's opponents in every match they play in the WC or even the World Cup

regardless of the eventual outcome, I have a new favourite in the World cup - Japan.

I hope my liking of them doesn't curse them like it did my earlier picks.

日本はナンバーワン!

Nihon wa nanbāwan! Japan is number one!

Thought the commentary was a bit off
At 38 minutes he said ‘Nips in there ‘
How offensive
Then at 78 minutes He said ‘Honda runs well ‘
He’s obviously never own a Honda

No scoring so far
But some close near misses
But enough about Luke’s blind date
Is anyone watching the footy?

BB said Sweden 1 Switzerland 1 and England 2 Columbia 1. We must all pray she has turned into a psychic.

If she has it could turn out very profitable for me
