When the news broke that he had finally been displaced as the head of FIFA on the reason's of suspected corruption it seemed to indicate that the next step was to charge him and his colleagues but it seems the bigger and more complex the possible crime, the more likely it is to be forgotten about and people just move on....
I have often thought that their should be a news programme about "what happened 5 years ago" to stop issues similar to this just being brushed under the carpet and forgotten about. By keeping it in the public eye perhaps some justice could be done...???

I see Harry Kane is going to captain England,
apparently Gareth Southgate passed the armband to Henderson but it glanced Kane's shoulder on the way so he claimed it.

You may need video technology to prove that!

Moving on to this year WC
Is this the most underwhelming competition ever?
I'm old enough to remember the last time we won it and since then every WC and some Euros. have been anticipated with a rising excitement
Its starts when we qualify, rise up as the Groups are drawn and hit a crescendo once our games kick off with a belief that this time 'Its coming 'home' This was more noticeable 10-20 years ago when we probably had our best Team/manager/Chance of winning But this time there's seems to be little or no excitement anywhere
I don't know why
Italy and the Dutch aren't there, Spain and Brazil are a V long way from their best and Belgium have never been close, despite their world ranking
Just leaves the Germans and on a one off game I'd fancy our chandces
To be clear, I'm not saying we will win But I don't understand why No one is excited about our chances

I agree with you! It doesn't help when the team manager in a pre-tournament press meeting basically wrote us off - but what an experience for the young lads!!! ...and watch out by the next World Cup!!! How many times have we heard that? ...do they just hope we forget what they have said by the time of the following World Cup!?!
Even little Iceland has a hope of winning! Reality is we shouldn't even be going if we don't think we have at least a chance!
