i don't get any sense of 'pride' as a result of this, but it is an important UK operator moving into the hands of a UK-based company. it's not bad news in that respect. we will have to see how the card market evolves as a result.. the statement is worded as though they will keep the MBNA brand separate, but we shall see. i'm going to retain my Lloyds account, alongside MBNA account, in case they make it possible to merge limits :think:
