she's a clown.. and a deeply unpleasant person that is given a platform way beyond her ability. but in fairness she has been right to criticise the media for their focus today. that she doesn't know her numbers is not news, and is also not very interesting.

It says something about her character that she couldn't admit not being able to provide the information and proceeded to make up unconvincing numbers. Not that she'd be alone in doing that, as a politician, although more experienced ones should know better and give a far more polished performance. Shadow Home Secretary is a key role, it requires a competent person. Corbyn's support of her was also offered with no passion whatsoever.

Mistakes aside, the corrected figure of £300million has been estimated to still be too low (by a factor of more than 100%; maybe as much as 300%) once real world salaries, training, recruitment, infrastructure and equipment costs are taken into consideration and has been criticised by Police for not targeting the greatest shortfalls within the service.

She is a experienced politician who is well used to being questioned by the media. So why did she not have the figures for something she knew she could be asked about.

any viewers of This Week will know her as #baffled.. amazingly, when she had nothing to say, that is what she would resort to. her disgusting views are the real problem though.. her idiocy is just for laughs.

She'd already answered the same question correctly, half a dozen times on the same day. She just had brain fade at that particular moment.

A non-event.

She looked like an incompetent fool in that radio interview.
Bookies have now installed her as firm favourite to become next leader of the Labour party. :?

I wonder how long she has been "winging it...!"

I don't think it was just "...one of those days!". Someone in her position in opposition would have all the advice and guidance and it seems to have been ignored. What on earth would she be like in Government...!

I think she has been found out for what she is and that Nick Ferrari was pretty easy on her considering.
