POLL: We want option of who to will our shares to in "My Account"...

Postby superman » Sun Jul 20, 2014 9:31 pm

I am getting on a bit and could do with having a definitive willing of my shares. I know others may not have this at the top of their list but who knows when they will die?

I propose we have the option of who to will our shares to in "My Account".

Please vote to secure your Return On Investment, hardwork and dedication.

Poll runs for 30 day.

Surely, this would have to be written in to your will and not administered by a tick-box on a web site, once probate is granted your executors will be responsible for winding up your affairs with iMutual (or anyone else you deal with) and as such you would need to nominate the recipient(s) in your will.

I'm not a solicitor but have had to handle someones will in the past and this is the process for all financial matters.

With my works pension I did not put this in my will, I filled in a form for beneficiaries ,

Thanks SuperMan. Saving iMutual members future must be your side job.

Just to add, voting yes would safeguard our future.

Just as we changed the company rules to allow our shares to be willed and not eaten up by the company, thereby safeguarding our future.

I'm yes 10000000000000000000000000000000000%.

Thanks superman.

You saved us imutual shareholders once before by pointing out that our shares would be taken by the company upon death.

With you again on this one. You are an angel. (Possibly triple angel).

YES, YES, YES.

I ain't leaving my shares to those ungrateful, bloodsucking parasites to fight over.

My shares, I say who gets them before my death.

This is the only way it should be be.

an6ypan6y is correct. This seems an unnecessary and complicated diversion to impose on imutual. Inheritance of your assets is best handled by means of a will (or intestate laws in the absence of one).

Pensions can be different, given that your family might receive extra benefits e.g. for death in service
