Post by richard@imutual » Fri Jul 01 2016 1:30pm

I'm pleased to announce that the winners of the Post-of-the-month competition for June 2016, as determined by ratings by our members, are:

Winner (100 shares): bobster007 for the post in the topic Re: >It's BACK< Topcashback Sweet Treats [June 2016] with 9 thanks

Runner-up (25 shares): xrppzi for the post in the topic Re: >It's BACK< Topcashback Sweet Treats [June 2016] with 7 thanks

3rd place (10 shares): underdog for the post in the topic >It's BACK< Topcashback Sweet Treats [June 2016] with 5 thanks

So one topic was clearly dominant last month :|

I did wonder whether to exclude these types of posts from the comp. I don't doubt that the "thanks" were genuine and that many of our members found the topic helpful, but is it the sort of post that we want to include in potm in future? Perhaps the topic starter's recognition was deserved though

You post that
but if you took all the Topcat posts out all then you're just left with Apna cashback
take those out as well and ...err... that's it :(

Perhaps more effort should be put into encouraging people to use the thanks button. There are plenty of old timers who are conspicuous by their lack of thanks. Maybe a reminder that shares can be earned by using the system. There are some people who I don't thank because they never have the courtesy to do so.

I think these should be included in the POTM the poster has taken the time to post and several people have found them worthwhile. No reason I think not to include them.

It's tricky to judge what would/nt count in these cases

It doesnt make business sense to give another cashback site such a high profile/plugging when daily digest goes out to Imutual membership linking POTM results, solution might be to exclude POTM links from next daily digest.
There are those who agree with and those who are convinced to agree with and I fall into neither of those categories ....
