When you find yourself agreeing with the parents in Children films
'I'm not a child anymore I'm 15/16/17!
And your thinking 'Oh yes you are!'

When you are in Sainsbury's and you ask the assistant, barely out of nappies, 'Where's the Carnation?' And they take you to the flowers aisle
'NO' the little tins of sweetened milk!' Blank look followed by 'Wait I remember when we cleared out granny's flat she had some tins in the back of the cupboard don't think we sell much anymore...except to V old pensioners.'
'You cheeky young rascal I'm old enough to be your....brother.'
I felt better after I boxed his ears

16/17 old enough to:

get married

join the armed forces

get a full time job

vote in the Scottish Independence referendum

But you are still a child so not old enough to vote in the Brexit referendum which is going to affect the whole of your working life.

But if you are a pensioner who does not give a toss about jobs as they will never work again and could be going ga ga you are welcome to vote on the future of the country according to David Cameron.

Unless you have lived abroad for more than 15 years, we will give you the right to vote in British elections in the future but not the right to vote in the referendum that could have far reaching results for your future.

Now children you know just how democratic the Brexit vote was.
Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler

You're old when you realise that Ready Salted has become your favourite flavour of crisps.

And... you're ancient if you call them Plain crisps! :o

I'm sure we had this debate before
But where would you draw the line?
Surely younger teenagers will live eevn longer so why can't they vote?
What about Primary school children?
Nursery school children?

And the key word there is 'Could'
Despite 'Project Fear' we seem to be doing okay so far Shares up Un employment down no mass exodus of companies moving abroad
Now some people will tell you these things could/might happen but the truth is none of us can predict the future
