No - but it will still be bad news for May.

Is that because it is June or the fact that she came across as wishy washy and real leadership principles...?

Now confirmed hung parliament. It's a good result for those who oppose leaving the EU and breakup of the United Kingdom; the Conservative Party and SNP ignore us at their peril!

I eat humble pie regards Corbyn. Locally I was right, a swing seat that went Tory and have remained Tory with over 50% of the vote this time. Pleased the Labour candidate did so badly, she is a nasty piece of work. But I would have voted for her if i thought Labour were in with a chance.

It's been a confusing result. I have little sense of who was voting for who and for what reason. It feels like a step away from the authoritarianism and illiberal ideas that came along with Brexit and Trump. Whether that was the voter intention or not it's welcome. I've no doubt some Conservatives had hoped and expected to annihilate the opposition leaving an unfettered and unopposed one party system. I'm relieved democracy kicked back and that did not happen.
But apart from that Mrs Lincoln how was the play?

Well not only is May now weak and reckless she is now dishonourable. Refusing to resign despite saying Corbyn would become PM if the cons lost 6 seats and now desperately striking a deal with the extremist DUP to stay in power, the party's record on homophobia, climate change and ruling out abortion for rape victims is appalling. In addition she is now a hypocrite for claiming Corbyn is a terrorist sympathizer and is now now making a deal with a party with historical links to the loyalist terrorists.

She is unfit and must resign.

Taken a really big leap there Sarh
Could be your right but could also be that voters were worried about austerity
In 2015 wages were rising
Now they are falling
Besides more people voted Tory than in 2015
I can't believe that TM can hang on but the Tories won't relish another Leadership battle nor another General Election
But I think both will happen
I suspect Boris is already putting out feelers
Politically incorrect since 69

May insulted the electorate and has paid the price. Couldn't be more appropriate - I repeat my earlier post "my description of the Maybot as an "cynical, self-serving, incompetent authoritarian who has never backed change and has a personal voting record way down the list" has been revealed in all its glory " :shifty:

However, I apologise for my lack of confidence in the ultimate sense of the electorate. They saw the danger of an unopposed Maybot party and stuck up two fingers.

Hard brexit is less likely now; in fact we're a step closer to a possible no brexit. This weak UK govt is going to have a difficult time achieving *anything* at all!

IndyRef2 is similarly less likely now; it's proved to be a turn-off for too many Scottish voters.
