What's a 10 bob note?
I remember going to the local chippy as a kid and getting chips , Hollands steak pudding , peas and gravy , X4 and still having change from 10 shillings

You know you are still young at heart when you do not say "how much? I can remember when that only cost ---"

You know you are still young at heart when you do not say "that music is rubbish" but instead think your choice but I would rather not have to listen to it.

When I first started drinking AGES AND AGES AND AGES ago
You could get 3 pints for a £ and a Top Friday night out cost a tenor:thumbup:
2 weeks ago at a wedding, we popped into Browns, kind of a posh Weatherspoons, for a drink between the wedding and the reception. Girls all had cocktails 'Well it is a special occasion (Daddy paying is NEVER a special occasion, it's the norm :( ) I had a pint and Mesun had an Appletise I said to the barman 'Is it contactless?' 'Yeah but that's only up to £30 :( £38 quid
We didn't get a second round I can tell you :D

Yes, but that's the stupid prices here.....
Earlier in the year I dropped into my local taverna in Portugal. A few "neighbours" were there (everyone is a neighbour!), so I stood a round. I had a "mini" (25cl Sagres) as did one neighbour. Another had a glass of vinho (tinto, of course!) another had a medronho (local firewater) and one had a bottle of water (!). The bill came to under €5........
Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get me

I will say no more than pointing out that today was a sunny, warm day in Ipswich. After my hospital visit, I met up with a friend near the docks (now tarted up, like everywhere). The university girls were out and about, obviously feeling the heat .....

I felt every year. :(
