Mixed. Went to pick up a couple we know slightly to visit a friend we are all close to in hospital. 2.7 mile trip from our house to their flat.

Could have chosen two ways to get to them. Chose the via Oulton Broad bridge as I thought that might be the quickest. Got stuck at end of Kirkley Run and worked out road to OB was not moving so turned right at the roundabout when we finally got to there only to quickly find ourselves in another barely moving jam. Took just over an hour to get there, then join another queue due to roadworks when we were nearing the hospital. Needless to say no sign of anyone doing any actual work on the road that had been turned from a dual carriageway into a single one each way. But going home was so easy.

I was in pain in the right leg from the traffic jam and we ended up with a Chinese take away, a rare treat. Cost a lot as Eat now charge 50p even if you pay cash at the door. And a really nice man who was probably from the Horn of Africa from his description. 'im indoors felt sorry for him so gave him a couple of squid tip.

But meal was nice. Still sore all over when I went to bed. But at least a patient got visitors which always cheers you up and helps pass the time in hospital. Think it will be a long stay there as he had emergency op due to blocked intestine and they are still drawing stuff off it. Plus he has a 60% chance of having a heart attack or stroke as he had his 2nd heart attack within the last 6 months. All of this is due to him getting so fat he got type 2 diabetes and not keeping that under control.

Memo to self: continue struggle to lose the weight the misbehaving hormones added to my body so I avoid type 2 diabetes.

Monotonous, depressing and selfish.

This is me in a nutshell and I'm proud of who I am.
