How, even with a video ref, was the first French goal against Australia allowed? It was never a penalty as the Ozzie defender touched the ball.

It puts into question all this added expense on video refs when they can't even get it right at the world cup...!

Touched the ball OUTSIDE THE area
Wrong decision
But the other penalty was possibly the most clear cut one I’ve ever seen in a WC

What a crazy day
FOUR penalties, 2 missed
VAR, design to end controversy, make a really controversial decision
And I don't reckon anyone will fancy playing Iceland

I thought VAR (Video Ref) was supposed to take controversial refereeing decisions out of the game instead it seems it has become a new source of controversy!?!

Are the favourites (Germany & Brazil) feeling the pressure?

More important - Lets just hope England don't mess up!!!!

The best game is listening to the pundits reversing as their favourites falter - Argentina, Spain, Germany, Brazil....

I have to say, I loved the irony of Brazil appealing the goal by Switzerland ...... I'm surprised they didn't demand a penalty for interference in the box!

Tonight's game will depend on which Tunisian team turn up - if it's the one without a camel England might be in trouble......
Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get me
