- Warning: Stamps that say '1st' or '2nd' class are going to become unusable from 31 January 2023
The RM site still actually says "Use them up by 31 January 2023, or swap them out" and on closer inspection there's some nuance to what happens after that date.Sarah wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16 2022 12:50amDeadline extended to 31 July 2023.

If you need to swap stamps, the FAQ says "currently no end date" for doing so, although it might still be prudent to act promptly:What happens if I use a non-barcoded stamp after 31 January 2023?
Mail posted with non-barcoded Definitive stamps after 31 January 2023, will for the first 6 month be delivered as normal, no surcharge will be raised. After this 6 month grace period, an item with a non-barcoded stamp would be treated as if there is insufficient postage. Any item that has insufficient postage is subject to a surcharge. Surcharge fees can be found on our website.
When does the Stamp Swap Out Scheme end / when do I need to swap out my non-barcoded stamps by?
It’s fine to keep using non-barcoded stamps as postage up until 31 January 2023. You can swap out your stamps any time from 31 March 2022 onwards — there is currently no end date as to when you need to swap out your non-barcoded stamps by.

I got about a thousand stamps, in hindsight I should have got ten thousand!!! Surprising how small a batch of about a hundred books of 12 stamps in a rubber band is.
I flogged them on Facebook, in one go to one person, with an IRL handover near LHR, for 50p a pop. Trebled my money.rayf wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21 2023 7:49pmOfficial_Froggitt wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21 2023 7:11pmI don't know if anyone else saw the Superdrug offer on hotukdeals before Xmas, basically they were selling old style stamps off at 70% to 80% off, and the hotdealers were then sending them off to be swapped for barcoded ones and flogging them on Facebook. But what would you do with 10,000 stamps? That's a lot of christmas cards for number of years
