Not really. It's a kind of lottery-cum-cashback site

Here's my understanding of it....

You choose a product that you like and can spin a wheel for £1 a time. If you're (very) lucky you win the product. If not, your £1 getsd turned into a discount credit, which you can use if you want to buy the product via their site (up to a maximum stated discount). you can also win free spins and competition entries

My £15 cashback has tracked already :)

So if you don't buy the product you lose the original £10 Although you do get £15 cashback (If it gets paid)

You only "lose" it if you don't buy anything via their site for a year. But they have a large selection of retailers to choose from, with over 500,000 products.

Now, admittedly, almost all of these retailers are also imutual partners. So you would have to sacrifice your cashback and shares in order to use up your Yipiii 'discount' credits against the item. But one notable exception is Amazon (we have a link for Amazon which generates funds for imutual, but we're not permitted to offer cashback).

So if you typically make a few purchases at Amazon throughout the year, then you'll effectively get your £10 back. As well as the £15 cashback from us

If i bid on something from X retailer and lose I get the credit. But do I have to use that credit to buy from X retailer or can I use that credit to buy from any retailer?

You can use the discount credit for any retailer, as I understand it

Perhaps a silly question, but how do Yipiii make any money?

They get the cashback, I presume. Or hope to from people's continued use of the site.
