It's not directly relevant, of course, as imutual has far more potential than simply "yet another 100% cashback site". And even if a 100% cashback site had been sold, we wouldn't know the amount given that all such sites (apart from imutual) are private companies.
That said, one company recently paid over £30,000 just for the (IMO damaged) brands and database of a cashback company in liquidation.
Just goes to show...
I also know (thought regrettably can't reveal my sources) that one of the current top 100% sites received approaches several years ago (before much of the current size had been achieved). Even at that stage, they were pricing themselves at circa £50m!
