Good spelling is essential too!

As is good English
We don't want new members thinking we are a bunch of chavs from Essex sigming on, swiging Red Bull and skinning up.
So don't start sentences with 'Huh'
Most rude.

I agree that we should be nice too each other. Discuss but do not argue should be the watchword. And please could everyone remember that my opinion is the correct one even when I am wrong.

New awards for Post-of-the-month

by richard@imutual » Fri Jan 11 2013 9:51am

From next month onwards, when I announce the winners' of our Post of the month competition, I will also be looking to make special awards in the following categories:

- Helping to attract new members
- Being helpful / welcoming to new members
- Posting + promoting offers
- Ideas / suggestions that assist or improve imutual

There won't necessarily be a winner in every category every month, and this will be something that I have to judge myself. The award will normally be 10 shares - the main purpose of this is just to give recognition to people who do things to help imutual :)

This year I do want to encourage everyone to make imutual a friendly, attractive and welcoming place for newcomers. Remember that new members could have the potential to be major advocates for our site but a carelessly-worded response to one of their first forum posts could put them off. As could an unnecessarily argumentative topic  Be nice, folks
