Fighting with my Family - Filmed in Norwich

Post by Boro Boy » Thu Feb 07 2019 11:04pm

All of you from East Anglia/Norwich may already know the true life story behind this brilliant (I don't say that lightly or often!) film where Stephen Merchant works his magic again...!

I have just come back from tonight's multi-media screening and I am still heart warmed by the film; it may have a slow start but it soon sweeps you up with every emotion from the success of the underdog though the sweat and toil of wrestling training on the beaches of Florida!!! Yes it has everything, including The Rock!

This is a "not miss movie", even if you're not a wrestling fan or you don't know the family story this movie will entertain all.

We live in Suffolk not Norfolk. and pakefield is Sufolk born and bred. But my maternal family tree has been done by a distant cousin and we were in Norfolk until the 16th Century but it was not Norwich. Why did we decamp to Hampshire? No idea, I can only guess a many times great grandfather went with the bride to her new home in Hampshire.

Unlike a certain soap actor we have not found Royal blood in the family tree. But the odds are some of the forum members have got Royal blood in their veins. Yes it is that common so it could be you or even 'im indoors. One of his Aunts once let slip that the family had to move to Suffolk but refused to say why. She buried all the family documents that might have told us the why in the back garden.

Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler

Lots of different types of screenings: for example Critics Screenings and of course Premiers but Media Screenings basically staff from the media and marketing departments of the production and distribution companies... :ugeek:

I offer my services, in the interests of the search for the truth, free-of-charge, to dig "all the family documents that might have told us the why in the back garden."

PM me your address and I shall come round tonight.
