French singer, when asked about the neck-and-neck with the Swiss entry.
"In the end, the winning song will be in French"

Wrong.

Yay! Go me! Viva Italia!
I knew we'd do badly (I picked 24th) but I really didn't expect us to bomb out on null points! We can normally count on Iceland and Ireland to throw us a couple of points.

The Italian entry was shii..... but, hey - this is Eurovision!

Forgive me, but had the UK entry been a boxer, you'd swear he'd been paid to take a dive! It got more points than it deserved.....

Totally agree! We have really upset the rest of Europe by turning our backs on them, so why expect them to favour us? They chose to make their opinion of us felt.

It's not just Brexit; if we actually entered a good enough song then I'm sure disfavour of the UK could be overcome, but in combination with a rubbish song, uninteresting staging and a somewhat poor performance on the night, our nil points was not at all undeserved.

We habitually enter songs that people in the UK don't buy, listen to or even like in any significant numbers, so it's unreasonable to expect many others to vote for them!

More bad news for James Newman, just been pulled for running a red light.

Still, at least he'll get three points. :?

Hmm, Brexit.

That'll be why Russia, Ukraine, Israel and Australia all gave nul points to the UK, eh? :?
