Sometimes to move forward you need to turnaround and get out of that dead end lane which some mistakenly think is a six lane motorway.... We are turning to move forward today.

We turn around and become America's Poodle instead of being a big voice in Europe. We seem to forget we are Europeans at times and think we are the 51st state of the USA

I doubt that is the case. But better than the lap-dog of the EU.

None so blind as those who do not want to see. None so deaf as those who do not want to hear.

...none so misguided as those who want to stick with the failing EU project!

Just out of interest, why is it better? Why is it better to be the lapdog of one country, who proudly say they put themselves FIRST, over a collection of countries who support and mediate with each other?

I know you won't - can't! - answer this, but try and do it without using abstract words with subjective meanings.

It's good that we are now in a looser arrangement with the EU bloc rather than continuing to be part of some authoritarian Chinese style superstate integrating without anyone's consent!

We ARE the EU*. We are part of it. We write the rules, we have the debates, we make the decisions.
By your logic we are lap-dogs to ourselves.

But we've been here before and I know you're not interested in facts. Why don't you tell us about your day at the European Parliament again.

*at the time of writing.

When has any country been integrated into the EU without their consent?
