It’s a momentous day.
One in which Britain finally brings to an end a ghastly experiment that’s brought us nothing but suffering.
At midnight, I urge us all to celebrate our freedom with riotous jubilation. Finally, the hell is over.
Good riddance #Veganuary !

It's good that we are now in a looser arrangement with the EU bloc rather than continuing to be part of some authoritarian Chinese style superstate integrating without anyone's consent!
Is the EU a single-party state?
Is there any EU leader with a fraction of the power of XI Jianping?
Are Google and Twitter blocked by the EU?
etc

How exactly is the EU "Chinese style"?

Ummmm, no point covering old ground, what will be will be.

For me, what has happened has been totally negative, but others will profit. Whether the latter exends to ordinary people, I doubt - I repeat my prediction that people will end up paying more to receive less.

Let's see.

We turn around and become America's Poodle instead of being a big voice in Europe. We seem to forget we are Europeans at times and think we are the 51st state of the USA
So true.

Such a small country can't make it big in today's world.

I doubt that is the case. But better than the lap-dog of the EU.
Just out of interest, why is it better? Why is it better to be the lapdog of one country, who proudly say they put themselves FIRST, over a collection of countries who support and mediate with each other?

I know you won't - can't! - answer this, but try and do it without using abstract words with subjective meanings.
You seem to be under the illusion that the EU is democratic!!! One thing for sure we are on our way out of EU officials deciding on the British future Steel Manufacturing Industry and their employees...!: https://news.sky.com/story/french-minis ... l-11922448

The primary argument of remainers is that we should not leave a big trading block; using that argument they should be pleased we now have the opportunity to join larger markets...!!!!

Some rabble has hijacked my topic. So much has been lost for no good reason whatsoever; it's unlikely we'll ever have it so good again within my lifetime. Couldn't you just have worn your clothes inside out instead?
