Outage last night

Post by richard@imutual » Tue May 15 2012 7:29am

Our hosting company suffered a power failure last night which had a knock-on effect on the server. We were in contact with them since last night and the issue has now been resolved. Apologies for any inconvenience

When I found the site was down last night I immediately thought the worst. Has Richard done a runner with all our money?
But then I thought about it and decided that that couldn't be the case.
I just couldn't imagine Richard being happy sitting on the golden sands of a remote Pacific island chatting to Robert Maxwell, Lord Lucan and Elvis, soaking up the sun and taking it in turns to ride Shergar.
So, I decided it must be what I believe is called 'The Roman Catholic problem' ............................

............... The server was ****ed

One million pounds using new £20 notes would weigh about 50kg!
You’d have to be pretty strong to be able to carry it.
If you put it in a suitcase and tried to check it on to an aircraft you’d be racking up some serious excess baggage charges.

Using £50 notes your million would weigh about 22kg.
This would almost fit into your usual airline allowance.
