i think the prize should be shared between people who complete the most transactions between now and the time the site has 1 million shares or the person with the most completed offers ever.

How about if we offered to double all the cashback/shares you've ever earned (up to an agreed limit) if you happened to generate the one millionth transaction? That would be a nice loyalty reward if it happened to a long-standing member :?

Seems OK - I suggest a £100 and 500 share lmit.
.
Hardly 'Double' though :(

It would be sensible, make it worthwhile and also know the maximum that would need to be paid.

Ok, well I guess there are two different questions

- How much should we offer in total prize money / shares?
- Should we have one prize for the millionth transaction, or spread the prizes around?

What I think we want is to use this occasion to generate some interest in imutual with those who have yet to register...

My idea

Have 2 prizes

1) Make the nearest daily transaction to or on the million mark @ 10,000x of it's value
2) the nearest cashback transaction to or on the million mark @ 100x it's value

( you've gotta set a max prize limit in both cases)

Dearest daily is 5p and 2 shares so £5oo.oo
Most other cashback values are probably less than a £.

Me idea
RY treats the winner and a friend to lunch at a mutually agreeable place/time
This would be open to other members to attend so we could hav a meet up, take some photos etc

Whatever the final decision it needs some good publicity to generate interest with members and non members about the advantages of Imutual.

2nd prize - two lunches with RY

As we don't generally spend money on promotion, and rely on you folks to spread the word, how about something which encourages referrals

So a prize for whoever does the millionth transaction

AND

For each friend you refer between now and the millionth transaction, you'll get an entry into a draw for another prize (P.S. If we do this, I'll backdate it to midday today so don't hold back from promoting whilst we're still discussing it ;) )

:?
