Here are the figures for the Cashback Investment Club's latest valuation, based on our investments and cash holdings as at 7 May

Since the last valuation on 8 Apr, the club's unit price has increased from £1.0735 to £1.0875, a change of 1.3%. See Unit price calculations

Members have paid a further £135.08 into the club since 8 Apr, and these have been converted to units at the new price of £1.0875. You can see a history of your own payments here

We currently have 16 members who have made 258 payments into the club totalling £5,168.36. The total value of our current assets is £5,690.15. Our list of our past investment decisions can be found here, and valuations of our current holdings (based on market mid-prices) can be viewed here

Our current cash holdings consist of £98.42 held in our Co-op bank account, + a further £728.16 held in our Share Centre dealing account (note: £698.85 is about to leave this account for last week's Carillion purchase).

Is it worth a funding push to get some new money in for any potential Generel Election surprises?

Out of interest, what is the average amount added to club funds each month?

Definitely worth us putting some more in, especially if we fancy having funds to buy Lloyds or another share if the right opportunity is there. I'm pretty happy if we have another tranche of money sitting around for a number of weeks awaiting the right purchase. I don't see a problem with that at all.

The thing is we are beating inflation so unless you have other requirements for spending your cashback or investing elsewhere putting the money into the Club as an investment seems quite sensible.

Kevin's maths is pretty good! My calculation is the same result as his, on a basis of the Club being 32 months old. It is a skewed average though as we had different numbers of members per month and so forth. It also doesn't take into account the contributions made by past members, where we have already paid out their holdings. I think that amounted to about another £700, so it would be about 180/month taking that into account.

Just a thought, maybe its me - but i can't understand why there is never a round figure paid in

I mean why did somebody pay in the extra 8p (unless there were lots of people paying in odd amounts) - rather than a whole Pound ??

Or is that just my money based OCD ??

 Maybe they are transferring all their available cashback balance

Because they are paying in their cashback and (maybe) have it automatically to transfer weekly. Cashback does not always come in round pounds.

I think the Dawg has an 'Auto redeem' into the club he once posted
Also worth bearing in mind that a lot of money was paid into the club in the early stages to get it up and running
I haven't paid anything in for about a year now

I'm like you - I only pay in even numbers  but I guess that is kind of OCD in wanting to keep it neat

I think a number of members auto-redeem or at least redeem whatever they have in awarded cashback when they manually redeem. Here is the official statistic from current contributions:

Members with contributions totaling to a exact pound = 9
Remaining members = 7

So there you have it
