Let's try again to get a meaningful response:

Give current income and expenses, how long can IM survive?

I rarely comment and i'm sure dont have nearly the amount of shares most of you have, BUT if you have such amazing insight into what might support the business why don't you do that? Offer to put soem time aside, for free, to improve the company in some way and therefore increase the value of your shareholding.

There could be an ideas thread and the ones with the most upvotes somebody in the community could implement on or for the site, it could become community run with an amount of shares set aside for each "job".

So running costs of have been cut about £18,000 a year. That extend the life expectancy by about another year to the end of 2022.
Have you not answered your own question earlier?

Perhaps a better question is "What can be done to extend that life expectancy to 'indefinite'?"

There have been several attempts to generate ideas like this, and plenty of 'unsolicited' ideas proposed. These have ranged from rational to crazy (but maybe there's an idea in there somewhere), and from expensive to free. However they haven't ever gained any traction.

The community idea is a good one, but it requires time and knowledge on the part of the contributor, for no reward (unless you think iMutual shares are the next BitCoin...) If the activity is in any way important to the business (eg responding to queries), then it also requires a regular and ongoing commitment.
In the hey day of Richard's previous cashback company there was sufficient profit to offer a small reward to those who actively generated engagement and there were enough members to find the tiny percentage able to give enough time between them that some aspects could be run by volunteers. At present, iMutual has neither the money nor the active user base to do that. Maybe we'd hit lucky that there is someone who could do some significant pro bono work.

You're right. I was hoping for some acknowledgement by management of just how bad the position is rather than just hoping things will get better. I've raised these sorts of concerns before and the response is always to deny there is problem or ignore.

It would seem to me that with the Director's personal guarantee of paying cashback in place. The site can continue indefinitely. There may not be enough to pay them and the site may not have many visitors. But be reassured it will be here for you.

I hope so as I value the forum.

Only if the owners are prepared to foot the bill for hosting and domain registration.

Hi., may I ask if the directors guarantee cover a members (mine) reward that has been incorrectly cancelled or is this another way of saving money?
If it's been incorrectly cancelled, then please accept my apologies. I'll admit that responses to queries have been slow at times but we will get this sorted for you
