I was interested in the comment, "We no longer commemorate the Boer War so perhaps now we have had the 100th Anniversary of WW1 perhaps we should end commemoration for that as well...!?!" :think:

There are almost 17,000,000 reasons to remember WW1 - and a further 60,000,000 reasons to remember WW2........

I thought the scope of Remembrance Day now covered those who had died in other armed conflicts, albeit the focus tends to be on the two World Wars because of their sheer scale and it was WWI that prompted the choice of day and time and the symbol of the poppy.
