Nothing changes, Brexit is here for a good few years yet.
If it was only up to us I'd agree
But I cant see the EU wanted it to rumble on and on
Only they have the power to extend the departure date
Nothing we can do
You think Brexit goes away once we have left? I repeat, Brexit is here for a good few years yet. We have a greatly divided country. It will take years to unify again, the ramifications and repercussions, lost and newly gained opportunities are going to haunt us forever.

David Cameron: 'I feel desperately sorry for Theresa'
Arguably, he got us into this mess, so maybe he should be feeling desperately sorry for the whole country.

Dave got us into this mess. Teresa chose to pick up the crown. Whoever picks up the crown next is picking up the same poison chalice Cameron dropped because he could see it for what it was.

I do not feel sorry for her at all. She is a grown woman and knew what she was letting herself into. She could have rewritten history if she had been willing to compromise instead of having so many red lines.

But she made that very clever decision to have a general election when she did not need to

That was pure vanity. Thinking she deserved better than she had.

The country is now at the behest of the UDP as the Govt. needs their votes to get non Brexit stuff through. You know, an area that has such a low population they have far less MEP's than the Eastern Region of England.

Theresa May was never more than a pro-tem choice landed on the country by the Tory party, once the "big beasts" ran scared of Brexit. However, it suited her vanity and ambition and she tried to reinvent herself into the role. Useless as Home Secretary and useless as PM, unable to work with others, her clear (though incorrect) view of the way forward was obviously going nowhere.

Now we see Johnson again trying to climb the greasy pole - and the danger is that the Tory party see him as their saviour - in the same way he made such a success (sarcasm on) as London Mayor (nobody misses him) or Foreign Secretary. What we really need now is a man with no personal integrity as PM, that'll solve all our problems!!

Could anyone have done a better job than Theresa May?.

Sorry, I'll type that again:

Anyone could have done a better job than Theresa May.
If it wasn't so serious it would be funny.

Brave? Why? Mr/s* gle1975 has disclosed his/her* voting choices. There is (and should be) no adverse consequence for voting for a lawful election candidate.

Although I disagree with those choices, they are Mr/s* gle1975's right and although I disagree with those choices, I will support the right to vote for the candidate of his/her* choice.

(* I really don't like that construction and it looks clumsy in writing but I also don't want to make any assumption about gender unless it's apparent from the name or other posts. )
