The Brexit party will be another "flash in the pan" just like UKIP . If Brexit happens , as it probably will , will there be a purpose /need for them ?

Unless they produce a manifesto, broaden their policies and become a Political Party rather than a limited company with an executive committee etc then no. The Brexit party is all about Farage's ego and has no long term future. However, don't write these parties off completely, they have the power to disrupt and fracture British Politics and do damage on the way.

And that's where they are dangerous. Mr Farage has stirred up the whole question of EU membership and continues to do so. But he doesn't actually have to deliver on any of it, particularly not on the lies or mis-statements he comes out with.

Not just Farage, The Sun, The Daily Mail and The Express have been peddling misinformation, twisted stories and even downright lies about the EU for years.

Hopefully the next PM can settle the "B" word one way or another and we can move on to more pressing concerns.

As I have said before Brexit will be around for the next 10 years+ if you think it is going to be settled anytime soon then you live in fantasy land. The negotiations have only just started.

Sadly, it was always going to end this way, even if it got inside the courtroom. The case was brought not to remedy a wrongdoing, but as a vexatious matter, and thus could easily be swatted away.
It's a shame, I would have liked it to go further and for Boris to have actually had to respond in some way (I doubt he would ever have personally set foot inside the court).
Although it has brought some publicity to the £350m lie, the case has also now proven that politicians can knowingly and indisputably lie about a clearly disprovable fact and get away with it. Presumably actual personal and directly attributable harm or loss must be caused for there to be a legal case.

I agree that it will be with us for a long time but we need to get to the next step. But not at any price as that would be far worse than the present awful situation.
So many things Parliament should be concentrating on and so much money wasted by Govt. on Brexit and do not forget the Companies who had to prepare for a crash out that did not happen on top of all the other Brexit problems they have.
And because of Brexit companies are hiring workers they can quickly get rid of instead of investing in the infrastructure that will in the longer term be of benefit to them and the national economy.
