Labour MP's have been told not to support a deal no matter how good it is

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... t-majority
Slight misquote there, its only the Pro-remainers MP's who are telling the leave MP's to not to vote for it, Corbyn hasn't told anyone to not vote for it only offer his opinion that no Labour MP can ever back a Johnson deal, not unreasonable.
I forget what Corbyn's policy is from day to day. I suppose he's useful as weather vane. If he's backing remain then presumably he thinks he can win a general election on that ticket.

Corbyn is now behind Johnson for every age group and in every region. We live in times of unprecedented incompetence on both sides.

Guess who said this?
“If we left the EU, we would end this sterile debate and we would have to recognise that most of our problems are not caused by Brussels, but by chronic British short-termism, inadequate management, sloth, low skills, a culture of easy gratification and underinvestment in both human and physical capital and infrastructure”

What sort of MP's have we got? There will be carnage at the next election and many of these holier that thou representatives may be losing their seats!
or keeping them whatever the case might be.

If you do have inside information about the results of the next election. Then pop down to the bookies and make some money. You can then put in a bid for imutual and realise the pipe dreams of the other people who are also wishfully thinking that imutual is going to make their fortunes.
...that's a whole different story!

Are the DUP now the undemocratic saboteurs or is it okay because they are not Labour?

The DUP are democratically upset at not having the democratic right to veto anything regardless of other parties, in the manner that unionists have democratically done in past decades. You may suppose that "democratic" has a very different meaning in this context.....

Things have changed in Norn Irn, but when you have someone complaining about the loss of a veto where they are in the minority, you know they've not yet changed enough.

re DUP I think John Major had it right in his autobiography when he said the "Roman Catholics" feel they are a minority in NI but the "Protestants" feel they are a minority in the island of Ireland. So both sides feel they are a minority and need to fight for their rights.

Of course the majority of in NI voted Remain but I am not sure how that breaks down between the "RC" and the "Protestants". So the DUP who in reality speak for the "Protestant"side might be right in supporting Leave.

But I have heard that the Alliance Party which is gaining votes, supporters and members. This has to be good for NI to have an influential political party that is fighting for everyone in NI not a section of the people as at present

Are Sinn Fein the saboteurs because they do not take their place in Parliament and support the Remainers? After all their voters tend to favour remain

Maybe Boris is being clever:-
He has secured a deal with the EU which he expects to be rejected by parliament.
He will then ask the EU for an extension which they will reject because they have agreed a deal.
We leave the EU on 31/10 without a deal.

Not really as they've always refused to do it and they weren't bribed to form a government after a hung parliament.
