I stand by my early comments - you will end up paying more to receive less.
But the fear of leveraging this chaos to further roll back social improvements is even more worrying.
Trusting public school boys to defend these changes is like asking a fox to guard your chickens.

Boris was one of the liars who perpetuated the myth that it was "absolutely crazy that the EU is telling us what shape our bananas have got to be".

If Boris gets his way, we will be a banana republic soon. So quite fitting, really.

Don't know where you got that from. Most of it is completely false - for example countries joining the EU after 1992 are obliged to adopt the Euro but there is no such obligation on members before that date - UK, Denmark, Sweden; the London Stock Exchange is not moving to Frankfurt - there is no such thing as an EU stock exchange, etc.

Did you even try any basic fact-checking before repeating such garbage?

You've had three years and free access to the internet and yet you STILL post this?

Everything we've ever known and ever learned is at your fingertips. And you've clearly got time on your hands because you're on here.

And yet - you STILL post this.

It's nonsense. Get educated. Stop embarrassing yourself.

You don't know what the Lisbon Treaty is, so you post that. You don't know what Brexit it, either, but you wax lyrical about how we have to do it.

How can anybody take you seriously? Here's the facts on it: (3 seconds search on google.

Herein lies the problem with the whole Brexit issue - people with access to the internet still believe the absolute tosh delivered by some mendacious individuals, rather than checking for themselves - and actually repost the garbage to infect others. Multiply that by the number who believe it and don't have the ability to check the facts and the number grows.

Without doubt there are those who have objections to the EU due to political or philosophical reasons - and those who see opportunities to profit from the chaos of Brexit - but there are others who still think leaving the EU will "cure" issues which have nothing to do with membership, plus generations poisoned by a hostile UK press and who are happy to believe that the EU is some kind of monster.

When it is pointed out to them that nobody else believes the tosh published in the UK, the suggestion is that these "foreigners" don't know or care about the truth - because, of course, these foreigners are deaf, or blind, or stupid......

Sad.
