Most of this refers to the Eurozone (not applicable to the UK) and Schengen (not applicable to the UK) and is a prediction of the possible impact of those policies. Of course, positive impacts are not discussed, because she was angling for UK get-outs at the time.

That's the difference - she had the strength to ensure that EU policies had little impact on the UK, rather than just running away from the issues like recent governments. I am not her greatest fan, but she knew that the UK was better off inside the EU and arguing its case - it was just a question of getting the balance right.
