Jack Ashley wanted to keep his Sports Direct shops open "to keep the nation fit" not make money of course.
Closed them down but increased the price of his stuff online
Also owns Jack Wills chain. Orders the staff to go to work as usual but the shops are shut.

And the biggest bustard of all who puts Phillip Green to shade when it comes to being a lousy employer/businessman has to be Tim Martin.
He has told his employees to go get a job at Tesco as he will not be paying them until the Govt money comes through.
Then he tells his suppliers they will not be paid until life is back to norrmal. How many small businesses will go under due to his company that can afford to pay but won't?

Shops closed almost immediately due to public pressure.
Apology yesterday from Mike Ashley.
He's made his delivery fleet available to the NHS.
Doesn't let him off the hook entirely, but at least he is doing something more praiseworthy now.
