Unethical behaviour literally no longer an issue for ministers in the Johnson government:

Boris Johnson has watered down the ministerial code and blocked a bid to give his ethics advisor the power to investigate him.

Just days after Sue Gray’s report slammed No10’s leadership for the “culture” that led to Partygate, the Prime Minister issued a new version of the rules for ministers - allowing ministers to break the rules without resigning.

Johnson is a narcissistic egotist and a liar. It is known that he is a liar, it is recorded that he sought to escape responsibility even when he was in his (privileged) school, so nothing about this should come as a surprise. What has however been proven is that he has a blatant disregard for public opinion, the rule of law or any traditional virtues and is happily flicking two-fingers at anyone or anything that seeks to reign-in his ambition. He should not resign, he should be prosecuted for bringing Parliament and the office of PM into disrepute..... joined by many of his cadre of incompetent arselickers.

Other than that, I've nothing against the prat.

Not sure that a law exists that would be suitable to use and if within Parliament it would not be prosecutable as he would have parliamentary privilege, (mores the pity).

A vote of confidence in Boris Johnson will be held by Tory MPs from 18:00 to 20:00 today. If he wins then he's insulated against another such vote for the next 12 months.

Interesting statement this today. Much expected, especially after the boos for Boris at St Pauls. However I wonder if they are shooting the gun a bit early. He is very likely to win the full vote although it will be interesting to see the numbers as it is a "secret" ballot. I would have thought it better to have triggered this after the two bye elections later in the month. The Conservatives are widely tipped to lose one and possibly both. However it is a fact that even if the leader wins. He/she will normally have to resign within six months as it becomes impossible to continue.

Of course he may decide to call an early election in order to try and settle it that way. There is still a lot at play in all of this.
