Unfortunately the sell price has not shown the same "profit" due to the buy sell spread Rich has mentioned. When it gets a little better I will change my vote to sell and we'll move from there.

For any novices this means that the price to buy a share and the price to sell a share are not one-and-the-same. There is an independent buy price and an independent sell price.

For example, as I write Pure Gold Mining is:
Sell Price: 41p
Buy Price: 46p
Any question please feel free to ask - that's the only way we learn.

Everyone has their own priorities, strategies and tradeoffs. You are welcome to both be and not be a CIC member.

We are in a position where we could sell and at least breakeven on this share. As I suggested earlier in this thread 2-3 weeks ago I would be keen to sell to raise some funds so that we can consider other options with potential. I appreciate not all CIC members might agree but I would encourage everyone to at least consider it whilst the price is at a level that this is currently an option

There was a good rise today it seems, so we'll have to take a look where the share is opening up next week

A lot of the big volatility on the other shares seems to have subsided, at least for the moment, so we need to think carefully where we might consider investing. Whether this is in something we know and hold now or have held in recent months, or something new.

Currently 25% up. I seriously think we should look to sell to crystallize a profit and release some funds for another purchase.

Any good ideas of what we should invest in, to replace this one? Gold seems to be the most opportune investment in my eyes. We really should have sold up a number of our shares and put the money into this, Ramsdens or Codemasters. There might still be an opportunity at Bakkavor but I can't quite get my head around why a food manufacturer's share has not recovered significantly and steadily.
