Can't post a deal....

Post by macliam » Mon Nov 11 2019 12:55pm

It's becoming harder and harder to actually post a deal

Firstly, the image size required normally precludes use of the picture on the website being referenced.

But today, one better - there is a deal on a 1TB SSD on ebuyer at a good price.

So, I create the post, find an image it will accept and press the button

The address is http://www.ebuyer.com/841735 - but it is rejected saying "You must enter a web address beginning with http://www.ebuyer.com" - eh????

5 minutes wasted :(

Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get me

Online form seems to demand http:, actual site was https:, rejected. Tested http:, worked so tried it, rejected. Sortened URL to the minimum required to link to the page, rejected. Tried just the basic site URL, rejected. Gave up, wrote this and reported it too. More than 5 minutes of my life I won't get back....

Not much encouragement to try again, either.....

I've fixed this for you now.

This is one feature that I plan to improve considerably once we launch the new site
