I hope not - what a waste of time and company money. Just put it in your will, I leave my iMutual shares to (blah blah blah).
Totally agree, total waste of time and extra work for all concerned.

If it truly is a case that we have a say on how the company is run then this will be implemented.
A vote voted on by 40 members is not a representative vote and as KC said polls are for guidance only.

Those who wish not to use the option are free to leave it blank.

The shareholders voted in favour. Full stop.

40 out of thousands does not make a Quorum and as far as I am concerned IF these polls are not taken as indicators of feeling, but a CONTRACT then they should be banned from appearing on this site at all.
I don't think Richard is an Islamist fundamentalist extremist terrorist (although I could be wrong) that he would dream of banning free speech.

What next ban alcohol and close all pubs?

While we are at it, ban cigarettes?

I don't think anyone talking about banning anything, that's just Squire opinion
I welcome these debates and will proffer an opinion if I have one
But as iIve posted, Polls are just for guidance
If you feel strongly enough about this issue then by all means put forward a motion for the AGM
I'm not convince you have the shares needed to get it through
But good luck

And I agree with him. If a few members can vote on something on the forum and the result automatically changes the rules of imutual then I do not want them. They can be useful in giving Richard an idea of what the members would like. But such a major change as this needs to be sorted at the AGM in the same way as every other company that has shareholders does things.

40 members and not all of them want this. This is not democracy. Letting a few members change the rules here would be as democratic as some so called elections where the national leader gets 98% of the vote in his favour. Companies vote on one share equals one vote not one member one vote. And that is the way this company should be run.

Ignoring the fact that any decision that affects the shareholders, needs a Quorum, and 26 other misguided individuals is not it.

If the Poll is so mighty, then Richard needs to introduce a Poll removing the rights of members to insist that Polls are binding.

Not that the Polls ever were.

I would advise you to stop trying to WASTE OUR (the shareholders and other members) MONEY, or the Polls could be used against you to vote you off the site.

Even if only a majority of ONE voted in favour.

And only 3 people voted, you against and me and one other that takes objection to your attitude.

How would you like that?

There must be a rule about trouble makers, which I do understand could equally apply to me as easily as you.

If there is not a rule about disruptive behaviour, then maybe we need one to be introduced.

With or without a Poll.

I've only just come across this thread and consider, with due respect to all concerned, that it's wasteful of time and effort. All other assets can be disposed of according to a Will, or otherwise according to intestacy laws. What's so different about iMutual shares that I should want to follow a different procedure? And that's a rhetorical request - let this thread please end!

Once implemented the naysayers will make use of the facility.

Is that why mods have manually removed it from appearing on the homepage?
