I voted No view
Not because I have no view because I do
But because it’s the closest to my opinion which is I was not there so cannot judge

I refuse to vote because there is not a "none of the above option"

He was correctly arrested so anything he said could be used in court. The police have listened to his version and taken into account the evidence gathered from the scene and the body of the dead man. And he has been released without charge.

If he had not been charged then this scenario is possible: A man murders his wife and tells the police he did so before being charged. After being charged he tells the police he mistook his wife for a burglar and killed her in self defence. The police know he is a murdered but cannot get enough evidence for the case to be taken to court. The husband has been supported by the media who were misled by his version of events. A murderer not only goes free but is considered a victim and a hero by the public.

OK that is an extreme case but shows why it is necessary for the police to arrest people. And remember the poor man who was burgled was arrested but never charged with any offence

I have already said in a previous thread that neither option is appropriate and I have no intention of voting in a poll which seems to me to be a blatant attempt at attention seeking from an imutual member who seems to me to have some extreme right wing, strange views on life. This matter is now over with no charges being bought, amazingly quickly in my view. I see no point in continuing with the discussion in its present form. I refuse to pander to right wing bigots. Whatever next? Bring back hanging and flogging? Send people to Penal Colonies in remote parts of the world?

What is wrong with hanging and flogging innocent people because at least you also hang and flog the guilty ;)

Praised or hounded - is that everyone's fate in your world? Did you get lost on the way to The Daily Mail website?

And imagine yourself in court on charges of murdering a couple of kids?
How would you feel?
