The pole is accepting votes for deceased scientists; low and behold Margaret Thatcher (apart from being the First Female Prime Minister) is also a deceased scientist so open for nomination.

I'd go for Ada, at least she did something worthwhile..........

I'd vote for Stephen Hawking. Although I'd prefer him on a lower denomination that is used more.

On the Belgrano topic(!) from what I have read I think it was justified to sink it as the Argentinian navy were planning a big attack. But it was a stupid war where a fascist regime (Argentina not Thatcher!) sent in some conscripts to the Falklands. Britain was right to retake it with the army.
