What bugs me is non churchgoers objecting to anything happening in a church that has not happened for centuries. Or changing the post WW2 pews for chairs as happened in mine. The objectors were people who never came to services but those who did were in favour.
Comfy chairs may make a difference...! :think:

The reason the church ditched the post WW2 pews was so that it could use the church better. The chairs could be removed giving a space for other activities. No need for comfy seats to attract people of all ages at this church.

The reason it had post WW2 pews was because the church was bunt down during WW2 and had to be rebuilt.
