The pomposity of this guy parchedpeas is understandable; he knows nothing so reacts with personal insults as it is seen as a way forward for him - very productive... well... I guess it gives him something to talk about!
Facts cannot be pompous, Boro Boy.

"A majority of those working full-time or part-time voted to remain in the EU; most of those not working voted to leave. More than half of those retired on a private pension voted to leave, as did two thirds of those retired on a state pension."

Well Boro Boy, your wish is granted. Now prove you were right.
He will 'do' nothing to prove he was right. He, like all the others who supported this, will expect everyone else to make it work. The people who suggest 'being British' is enough are not the ones at the coal-face, unfortunately. People who actually work in this world voted to stay in because we know the reality of the world as it actually is in 2020.

"Believing" doesn't pay any bills.

QED

Come on, Boro Boy. You won, the floor's yours, you have the conch.

What happens next? How do we get to the sunlit uplands? This is what you voted for; tell us how it pans out from here.

"Onward, ever onward...!" is all very good but then is it followed by upwards or downwards?

I can only hope and pray it is upwards. It is not about "see I told you so" but it is about the lives of those who are of working age and their families. Their jobs are what matters not political point scoring

To where?
Specifically, what needs to happen this year to achieve what you wanted when you voted to leave.

You want us all to pull together and get behind you.
Give us something to get behind. What should we be supporting? What should we demand of our government?

You're wasting your time. Mr Boro Boy never commits to specifics - just repeats slogans or meaningless phrases.

Nonsense! He knew exactly what he was voting for. All he has to do now is tell us what that was. There's no point us trying to talk him out of it. All we can do is get behind him and support whatever goal he has.

We just need to know which way to turn.

And we are now in the less democratic UK run by a bloke who has never been elected anywhere (No not that liar who should be in prison Johnson).

I am so old (although I was interested in politics long before I left school) to remember Harold Wilson's Premiership. There was a great deal of discontent amongst Labour MP's etc about his advisor, Marcia Willaims. I suspect her influence on the PM was far less than that of Dominic Cummings but no Tory seems to care. Many Tory MP's may have accepted they only have a minor role in Parliament but know the powers that be can put pressure on their Constituency to deselect them so maybe they are too frightened to say anything.

I worry about the fact that Ministers have been banned from accepting an interview request from the BBC Radio 4 Today programme and BBC 2 Newnight programme. And even worse many journalists were barred from a briefing from senior Civil Servants. In the past briefings to selected jounalists has always happened but never when it is from the neutral Civil Service. All of them walked out in protest but will that solidarity continue? Will they be forced to stay in future because they have been warned by their bosses that a walk out will mean they lose their job?

I really fear for democracy in this country and I would say the same which ever Govt. was behaving like this. Remember how angry I was with Jo Swinson saying the LIbDems would cancel Brexit, another very undemocratic move by a party leader. Did not vote for her in the leadership election and had mixed feelings about her losing her seat in the last GE
