Who said: "...we shouldn't take a pay cut, it will hurt the NHS because the Government will receive less tax income..."?

Well they are right but nothing is stopping them in giving donations directly...! :o

That’s good but it seems really vague.

Ah yes people like Jacob Rees-Mogg will be adding greatly to their bulging bank accounts. And how many of them will be dodging tax on the money they are making out of this crisis.

Not accusing the Honorable member for the 19th Century as I do know nothing about his tax affairs. But I am sure many of those who are in the top bracket of the wealthy in this country do use legal but immoral ways to pay as little tax as possible.
Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler

Topic of conversation arose due to three very rich football clubs Newcastle, Tottenham and Liverpool choosing to Furlong non playing staff rather than pay these wages themselves, for some reason Matt Hancock who was under pressure re lack of Coronavirus testing singled out players about pay cuts

Manchester City and Manchester United have said they will not be Furlonging non playing staff

Two completely different topics.

Football players take pay cuts ( not the same as pay deferrals) which would mean less tax is paid, and rich clubs make even more money

Players donate money to Charity/NHS, something that they do already with Premier league players stating they already had conversations about mass donating to NHS, reason for vagueness is they want to know where the money would be going rather than merely to a NHS black hole

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/premier ... spartandhp

"Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) chief executive Taylor was shocked by Hancock's comments and insists players are simply demanding clarification on where any money they sacrifice will go"

"On whether players were concerned about that point specifically, Taylor added: "Exactly that. They want the complete due diligence. They're not stupid. They've not just got their brains in their feet. They want to know the reasons for it and where it's going"

Or was it just public pressure shaming them?
