All though I dispute the comment 'Ofcom said that unlocking handsets could often be a complicated process, ' No it isn't, just get your screwdriver in the back :?

"discouraging owners from switching providers" is exactly the reason networks choose to subsidise handsets and reduce the price. Anyone can buy an unlocked handset.... they just cost more! Duhhhhh... :roll:
