BPme Rewards

Post by Sarah » Thu Nov 05 2020 9:36am

I've tried BP a few times recently as they've started giving me 500 or 250 point offers for their loyalty scheme with no minimum spend (other than minimum delivery at the pump, which is now 5 litres); although these don't always seem to work. Sometimes only get bonus points from using a paper coupon; whilst other times paper coupons and app coupons both work together, so it's not too obvious what's going to happen each time!

If anyone hasn't joined BPme yet, please feel free to use my referral code 000LMFRR which I think rewards me 250 points (£1.25) up to 4 times per month. You should receive at least 500 points (£2.50) bonus for registration and first use of your card.

Thanks for the reminder. I got a 250 last month but didn't think to look again; just checked and got just 50 this time.

This scheme can seem pretty random. Yesterday, I finally got a recent 500 point bonus on the app to work successfully, on my third attempt, probably by ensuring that I didn't use a paper coupon at the same time.

BP then gave me another 250 point app bonus for my next transaction but only valid for 1 more day, so I stopped there again for another 5 litres this morning. I also have 50 and 150 point app bonuses with expiry dates into next month. Sometimes they've sent me "come back - it's been a while since we saw you" e-mails with a bonus for my next transaction just a week after my last visit!

I've probably only purchased 30-40 litres so far yet nearly earned my second £5 voucher now!

That's good going. With lockdown what do you do with so much fuel?

I travel to work; not using a lot of fuel really, the journey is only 20ish miles per day.

There's a bit more traffic around during this lockdown than the previous one; but still much less than pre-pandemic levels.

Following a quiet few weeks when BP only offered me 50 points (not worthwhile), they've now e-mailed a nice 3 x 500 point bonus offer (£7.50).
