We cannot get to either shop as we have 77 miles worth of petrol in the tank according to my car's petrol gauge. We will go to Beccles today and stock up with shopping, visit the bank and local shops as well as have a meal out. Very unlikely we will see a queue at the petrol stations there which we can join. So the plans to go to church very evening this week have gone out of the window.

For those who do not know for the last 11 days our local fuel depots have been blocked by protesters, some of whom have glued themselves to the road.

The only one of those I like is cauliflower; presumably I'm not alone as it was already sold out when I visited yesterday, but still plenty of the others available!

Aldi seem to be matching across the piece. I've seen Cauli at 39p and carrots/parsnips at 19p
