Nationwide Flex Regular Saver: needs FlexDirect?

Post by planteria » Sun Feb 14, 2016 10:19 am

i have 2 FlexDirect Accounts, and 1 FlexAccount..
i also have a Select Credit Card and Loyalty Saver
and a Flex Regular Saver..
does the latter, and the 5% rate, depend on the continued presence, or payments from, a FlexDirect Account, or can the SO be paid in from a FlexAccount?

thanks tonyg..

just checking:

"Eligibility criteria
To be eligible to apply for a Flexclusive Regular Saver, you must be a main current account customer with us, this means that you must either:
Hold a FlexOne account and be aged 18 or over, or hold a FlexAccount and have:
Been paying in £750+ a month for the last 3 months (excluding transfers from any Nationwide account held by you or anyone else); or
Completed an account switch to us (from a non-Nationwide account) using our Current Account Switch Team in the last 4 months; or
Hold a FlexDirect or FlexPlus account"

what is the 'Name' of your Flexclusive Regular Saver when you look on your online banking?

mine is called "Flex Regular Saver".. i hope that does mean it's a Flexclusive Regular Saver [5%] and not a Regular Saver [2%].. as nothing would surprise me with Nationwide :wtf:

The 2% account is called "Regular Savings"; in both cases the interest rates are displayed when you view them with Nationwide online banking.

are you funding yours by a SO you have set up yourself on nationwide.co.uk Sarah?
and if so, did you set up 11 payments, or 'ongoing'? i assume this is a RegSav that does 'mature' after 12 months, and doesn't allow us to roll on £6k/yr at 5%...that'd be nice
