Indeed, I'm looking to purchase an entry level second hand Rolex. Maybe even a new Rolex if the price is right and there is an interest free payment plan.

From my research a Rolex is the best option as an investment watch if you have that type of money.

i think looking closely at the models would be wise.. and not sure 'entry level' is the right route to go.
assuming you aren't looking at gold and jewels, and speculating on underlying values, then stainless steel classic models are the ones to go for. need to be in great condition. buy new if you want to, but you won't find "the price is right" unless the standard price is what you think is right - the retailers are all in line. if you can find a used watch that you want, great. when you come to sell it will be second hand, of course.if you want to buy new, pm me and we can have a quick chat on the phone if you like.
i'm not an expert, but i know people who are. Submariner, GMT, Seadweller, Milgauss all hit the spot. like many things, a model that is in demand but that is in short supply is the ideal.
just a thought but i read an interview with George Lamb and he has a Submariner, classic stainless, black face, black bezel, from the year he was born.. late 70s i think. that's quite a nice idea, and probably wouldn't be over the top price-wise, if you can find one.

I did clocked this idea earlier
But I think there's a need to watch it carefully
I guess time will tell
