via a rival cb site, i realise, but not available here..

https://www.quidco.com/natwest-select-c ... 56253395d8

very simple process. i've just sacrificed £2/m from Halifax Rewards for a one off £175 .

You forgot to mention this deal is today only! ;)

However, I think the usual cashback was £40 so probably still £125 + £40 = £165 total for awhile after the flash cashback rate ends.

I haev already done exactly this today. Halifax have done a great job of looking after my fiver and recycling my Direct Debits these last 4.5 years, but it's time to give someone else a chance.

Saw this 24hr-flash deal offer in my email and although it's tempting, I'd stay with HSBC as I've been with them for many years now. I've been planning to set-up a secondary account for switching deals though but still haven't done it.

i wouldn't move my HSBC account either, but one of my 4 Halifax accounts can go now that they only pay £2/m .

and fair point re. the time-limited offer Sarah.

the Select account provides online statements as standard, but does anyone know if we can change to paper statements?

Yes you can. I have paper statements selected - there's a setting that can be changed online using the Natwest website (don't know about their mobile app as I don't use it but would guess it probably has paperless settings there too).
Say goodbye to paper and switch to online statements - you can update your paperless settings or switch back to paper at anytime.

When you switch to paperless, you can view, save and print up to 7 years worth of statements in PDF format.

If only they would give me the money to stop being a customer. Shut all the branches I can easily access.
