I felt it necessary to say it and is why I said it the way I did, without wanting to attribute blame to any one person or group of people.
And that is why I do not get my knickers in a twist about "lenient" sentences handed down by judges. I always think: I only know what the media has told me, I was not in court every day to hear and see all the evidence.

Sadly with Brexit, the EU and court cases many people get distorted or part facts and base their judgement on them. I probably have been guilty myself at times as well.
