Not necessarily. I can remember the Video Format War. V2000 had the 'finest tech', followed by Betamax, with VHS in last place. VHS won.

I'd go further and say finance and marketing wins over all...! You can have the best item in the world but if no-one knows about it...opposed to having an ok item and a great well financed marketing campaign! :think:
