Are there any new accounts that are offering £100 or so to transfer to? Or any accounts that are worth having at the moment?
good question rayf.. i'm not aware of any providers that are doing so.

First Direct still has its £100 hello (and goodbye) incentive running. There might be others.

Just spotted that it's possible to request Halifax Reward accounts are not automatically converted to Current Account from 1st July, instead of opting back in afterwards. This is done by calling 0345 129 9711 on or before the 12th June deadline.

yes i saw that in their letters Sarah.. they convert unless we ask them not to.
are you planning to hoop jump to keep them going as Rewards accounts?
unfortunately, having had a FD account way back, and with HSBC and M&S accounts, FD have rejected me when i've tried before two or three times. ideally i'd move six accounts to a new provider.. come back Yorkshire Bank :)

I haven't decided for sure, but I might well keep my Halifax/BoS Reward account(s).

Santander Select downgrade to 123 Lite was pretty painless. Interest received (and £5 fee paid) on 7th May, applied online the same day and transfer processed yesterday regardless of the Bank Holiday & weekend. I did try to call first but that was hopeless as they were terminating every call before the recorded announcements had even finished... no need anyway, the online form worked just fine. The change has also prompted them to credit my accrued cashback and a small amount of additional interest; no fee adjustment (yet) which is settled in arrears (perhaps they'll claim slightly more than £1 next month).

as it stands i'm keeping mine too. but i'm not thinking to ask them to retain their Rewards criteria.. more in the vague hope of a deal in the market to pay to take them on.

Can you fund a savings account or something with £500 to qualify for the debit card spending requirement or does it have to be "normal" debit card usage?
