I can think of a recent example where 17.4 million people were persuaded to give up their rights, devastate the prosperity of their country and jeopardise their children's futures. So, yeah, it happens much more easily than might be imagined; even just repeating a disingenuous but catchy slogan over and over again for sound bites can soon become an article of faith for the masses.

i can think of a recent example where the whole nation was marketed to with a leaflet through their door, at their own expense, threatened by their own government that their pensions and benefits would be reduced within days, warned by the International Monetary Fund not to dare 'buy', and even had the President of the United States arrive to tell them that they should "stay together" and avoid 'buying', but still saw through the lies of Project Fear and 'bought' their nation's independence back. the sellers weren't ready and prepared to supply the goods, though the point of principle still stands.

but yes, marketing certainly works. brand awareness matters, even for those that don't purchase the product/service, providing credibility etc

The rich hard right wing who can make even more money if we leave the EU. They want to weaken the rights of the workers, gamble of the value of the pound on the foreign exchanges, get more privatisation in the NHS.

How do you substantiate these claims? Or is it you just doing a bit of disruption marketing? :wtf:

By listening/reading various sources including what comes out of the horse's mouth. Project Reality not Project Fear.

You cannot argue against the fact the value of the pound has collapsed since the referendum pushing up prices of everything we import. And people do bet on the pound going up and down every day.
