Lots of great ideas here,
Fortunately my mum is able to cover the £500 pm from her pension - so it is more about where to put it in the short, medium long term.
The place does have lots of facilities, though we all think it is a little high
but as we (the family) have said to her , we would rather she was happy for her last few years, and we end up with nothing, rather than her be unhappy for the next 10+ years
